Emma Jane Coddington

Emma Jane Coddington, 89, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully Friday April 17, 2026. She was born January 12, 1937 in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Joseph E. Coddington and Nellie Mae (Reynolds) Coddington. Also preceding her in death were a brother, Dale E. Coddington, sister-in-law, Valeria Lee (Sholtis) Coddington, and an infant Brother.

Emma was a former executive secretary with Rockwell International and later with Sensus. She was an avid Steelers and Penguins fan. Emma was fascinated with frogs and enjoyed collecting frog figurines. She was a very loving aunt, possessed an extremely kind nature, and had a childlike joy about her at all times.

Left to cherish her memory are a niece, Hope I. Coddington, of Uniontown, a nephew, William E. Coddington (Kaylyn), of Belle Vernon, great nieces and nephews, Derek Haywood, Madison Coddington, Andrew Haywood, Rachel Haywood, and Malayna Coddington, and good friends.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc. 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave. Uniontown, PA on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, until 11:00 AM the hour of service with Pastor Michael Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
