Hazel Virginia (Burke) McCune

Hazel Virginia (Burke) McCune, 90, of Uniontown, PA, went to be with the Lord, Friday, November 7, 2025. She was born August 29, 1935 in Lamberton, PA.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry Edward Burke and Hazel Virginia (Armel) Burke, husband, Kenneth Gilbert McCune, Sr., and three brothers: Edward George Burke, Earl Gilbert Burke, and Everett Armel Burke.

Hazel was a faithful member of the Brownsville Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church and served as the church organist. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Surviving are two sons, Kenneth G. McCune, Jr. and Murray Michael McCune, both of Uniontown, grandchildren: Jordan, Jonathan, Ashley, Kenna, and Kenny, several great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Lennie Burke, and Esther Burke, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA on Monday, November 10th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, and on Tuesday, November 11th, in the Brownsville Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church, 6050 National Pike, Grindstone, PA from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Edward Truitt officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
