Joseph Michael Hllavach, Jr.

Joseph Michael Hllavach, Jr., 69, of Vanderbilt, PA, passed away peacefully Friday April 3, 2026. He was born January 27, 1957. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Michael Hllavach, Sr. and Elizabeth Hllavach, and his loving wife, Debora Hllavach.

Joseph was a stone mason employed in the construction industry, a Member of the Knights of Columbus, and had been a volunteer firefighter with the Smock Volunteer Fire Company. He enjoyed spending precious moments with his grandchildren who were the light of his life.

Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Mary Steinberger (Gregory) of Vanderbilt, and Joseph Michael Hllavach, III, of Perryopolis, PA, grandchildren, Sophia and Owen Steinberger, and a sister, Linda Bozek of Uniontown. Joseph will also be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews, and close friends.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc. 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave. Uniontown, PA Tuesday April 7th, from 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
