Annette Jane James, "Nana"

Annette Jane James, "Nana", 71, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully Tuesday June 16, 2026, with loving family at her side. She was born July 28, 1954 in Connellsville, PA, a daughter of the late John and Mary Jane (Soisson) James. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Scott Buttermoore James.

Annette was a very loving wife, and mother. She enjoyed swimming in the pool, puffy painting, the sign of Leo, and sitting in the sun. Annette was an avid animal lover caring for dozens of pets over the years and was very proud of her work with the Domestic Violence Shelter. She was the queen of her family and truly loved being with her grandbabies.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of over forty years, Bernard E. "Bernie", daughters, Malissa Anne Bolish and Miley Anne Conner James, and grandbabies, Matthew Earl Johnson, and Stella Anne Johnson.

To honor Annette's wishes, funeral services are private under the direction of the Shell Funeral Home, Inc.
