Grace J. Monaghan

Grace J. Monaghan, 88, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 9, 2026, at her home, with loving family by her side. She was born March 21, 1937 in Uniontown. Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles Hostetler and Ora Belle (Franks) Hostetler, husband, Patrick J. Monaghan, son, David Ferguson, and two siblings, AC Hostetler and Mary Snyder.

For many years Grace owned and operated the Monaghan Personal Care Home where she provided loving care to every patient residing there. She attended Grace Chapel at High House, and was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. After her financial obligations were met, Grace would love to visit the casinos and play the one arm bandits.

Left to cherish her memory are six children: James Ferguson (Cindy), of Uniontown, Charles Ferguson (Cheryl), of Adah, Kim Silbaugh, of Uniontown, Georgia Miller (George), of Adah, Patricia Hull (Josh), of Melbourne, FL, and Destiny Monaghan, of New Salem, 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a special nephew, Robert Hostetler, and other family members, and many friends.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA on Friday, February 13th, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM the hour of service with Pastor Tim Tanner officiating. Interment will be private.
